Pest Inspection

Doorframe with termite damage

An Official North Carolina Wood-Destroying Insect Information Report (WDIR) is used to report the presence or absence of wood-destroying insects in structures for sale.

This service is performed by a licensed pest control professional visually examining all accessible areas of a building and accessible structural members. The report reveals information concerning wood-destroying insects only and not the extent of any damage.

The report is a true indication of the presence or absence of evidence of wood-destroying insects. The report is issued for informational purposes, and the pest inspector must report all visible evidence of wood-destroying insects and any conditions conducive to subterranean termites.

The WDIR does not necessarily clear a structure, and it is not a termite letter, in that it addresses more than just termites.
